''FreakyLinks'' is an American television show that combined elements of horror, mystery, and comedy. It aired on the Fox Network from October 2000 until June 2001, for a total run of 13 episodes. The feel of the show closely modeled that of ''The X-Files'' and other supernatural-themed shows that were popular at the time. In 2008, the series was aired on Chiller. It can also be seen on the Canadian ONE channel. ==Setting and plot== ''FreakyLinks'' centered on Derek Barnes (played by Ethan Embry), a resident of Orlando, Florida who ran a website called "FreakyLinks.com" that sought out the dark and forbidden truths behind paranormal phenomena and urban legends, assisted by his friends Lan (Lizette Carrion), Jason (Karim Prince), and Chloe (Lisa Sheridan), his brother Adam's fiancee. Derek took over investigations after his twin brother, Adam (the proprieter of a more serious paranormal website called "OccultResearch.com"), died under mysterious circumstances; a mysterious stranger by the name of Vince Elsing (Dennis Christopher), who claimed to have been the subject of strange scientific tests that left him with paranormal abilities, occasionally contacted Derek with information about Adam.
